I repair chairs with caned seats, and sometimes I have to colour the hard, glossy surface of the cane to match older chairs whose can has darkened with age. We used to use Ronseal All-in-One Wood Finish, but this has been discontinued. I'm looking for a replacement. Not a water-based product! It needs to adhere to the shiny surface of the cane, which is totally non-absorbent. Any suggestions welcome! ally

I found this post by Ronseal on Facebook--May 10, 2012:

Ronseal UK Hi Gloria, yes the 'All-In-One Wood Finish' has now been discontinued. The quick drying varnish gives the same result and will make those doors look great! http://www.ronseal.co.uk/products/quick-dry-varnish
