Psychedelics revisited
Michael Pollan’s new book, How to Change Your Mind, is fantastic on many levels. It charts the recent rehabilitation of psychedelics as a therapy for many mental ailments, and in the right settings, as a reliable aid for spiritual experiences. Pollan is an open-minded skeptic who brings a clarity and balance to this long controversial subject. He changed my mind and will probably change your mind. — KK

Shark Tank contestants
This page lists every contestant who’s been on Shark Tank, along with a link to their website. Useful if you want to find out more about one of the products or services pitched on the show. — MF

Only in Asia
I get my LOLs by following the Only in Asia twitter feed. They pass along all the weird and crazy stuff from Asia. Clips from Japanese game shows, web cams from China, funniest phone videos from Indonesia. You can’t make this stuff up. — KK

Good small First Aid Kit
This first aid kit comes in a small bag, but it’s loaded with stuff. Besides the usual bandages and sterile gauze pads, it comes with sting relief pads, an instant cold pack, a light stick, a poncho and blanket, splinter tweezers, a compass, a whistle, and a lot more. At $11, it’s a great deal. — MF

Numbers to Words
Sometimes I forget how to spell out large numbers or say large quantities out loud, so I have this Numbers to Words calculator bookmarked. It’s useful for me because it converts numbers to words, currency and check writing, all of which I use for work. — CD

81 resources for your mental health
Greatist has gathered an extensive list of websites, hotlines and apps to help find support when you are in need. All the resources are either free or cheap. This list was published in 2015, so it might be a little outdated, but I have yet to find a more recent, comprehensive list like this. — CD
