Best site for EDC Bag recommendations

Both my wife and I are in search of a new EDC bag, she'd want something a little more womanly, while I'm a bit more... not tactical, but, anyways. Looking for a good blog/reddit to post a picture of our EDC items along with bag requirements to solicit bag recommendations. Am trying r/edc but since I am unsure if they are a good place for that type of question, I figured I'd ask here at the same time. Parallel processing ftw. |

I’ve been using a netbook bag, such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TYO3RQ/ Unfortunately it’s not great for things like my sunglasses case, and I’d say it almost has too many pockets and dividers. |

I have a slightly older version of the Jasper Tote from United by Blue:https://unitedbyblue.com/collections/bags/products/jasper-tote I love this bag and I get a lot of complements about it. It’s well made and practical but still classy. It’s a little on the pricier side, but they have a lifetime warrantee on all their bags and great customer service. Plus I really like the ethics of the company. |

I have searched high & low for a feminine EDC. My current favorite is the Bombata https://www.amazon.com/Bombata-Croc-Laptop-Bag-13/dp/B00LH7D04S/ref=pd_sbs_198_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=246ZXR4HD247MXVYATJZ&th=1 I have used this one for awhile now and it has not given me any issues with durability. Levenger has several very classy bags, but their prices are a bit high. The quality is worth it however. they make good Christmas gifts. |

I’ve been carrying the Marimekko Cash & Carry bag for almost a decade now. I like it because it’s compact, but can hold everything I need to carry around with me every day:
The bag is made of some sort of indestructible poly material; the only part that’s shown wear is the inside zippered pocket, which I’ve had to have the zipper repaired on; when I’ve looked at more recent versions of the bag I’ve found that this problem appears to have been addressed with a more industrial-strength zipper. It comes with an integrated (non-removable) strap that’s very adjustable: I cinch it up tight for bicycle riding, and leave it lower for walking around. |

Last summer I was looking for something too, and wanted something smaller than the backpack I’d been carrying. I also wanted leather because I’m tired of all the nylon, plastic, ”junk” stuff out there. I found a small 12” leather bag that is very well made. It looks ”manly” enough, but the ladies in the office tell me they like it too. Occasionally I wish I had a little extra room, but my problem has always been, the bigger the bag, the more stuff I carry. It was weighing around 30 lbs.! This way, I’m forced to only carry what I need and stop stuffing extra junk in there. I’ve been using it since about June and after five months, I’m still very happy. Looks good, functions well, with use, it’s beginning to develop a nice patina that looks even better. $79.99 on Amazon. I’ve been using a Mountainsmith day bag for 20+ years. I find it to be the perfect bag for every day, and I don’t think it will ever wear out. Long ago I replaced the shoulder strap with a better one, but I am very happy that it also works well as a lumbar pack. |

I really like Waterfield bags. (sfbags.com) I’ve had mine for at least 10 years. What’s nice is they have a mix and match scheme where you can combine a set of straps, a laptop sleeve, and accessory pouches. Build quality is excellent. |

I’m a female. My EDC bag is made by Haiku: http://www.haikubags.com/. You can find their stuff on sale on some other sites as well. I have one of their larger bags in magenta that is no longer made, and I own a Haiku purse AND a Haiku tablet case that I keep in my EDC bag for travel flexibility. They are a great choice if you want something other than black. So far, I’ve had nothing break, rip, or tear, on any of my Haiku products. They are made of recycled materials and clean up easily. All of my Haiku products have been great investments. |

I have not found a bag that I like yet but there is an EDC blog that I enjoy that has plenty of pictures you can reference. |

Check out the Tom Bihn Cafe bags https://www.tombihn.com/products/medium-cafe-bag?variant=16396845511 . 3 different sizes and enough color combinations to fit men or women. Top quality construction. My wife refers to it as my purse but I keep telling her it’s a European Male Carryall |
