My goal is to demystify math for my kids, and get them comfortable with it. I'm not looking for an exercise book, or a work book. I am looking for two types of books. The first would be a guide for parents on how to make this happen, the second would be books aimed at kids.

The Number Devil by Hans Magnus Enzensberger. I read this to my kids when they are young and they still remember it. My daughter is graduating from college this year as a math major. She would point out that correlation does not imply causation. I would say that it definitely didn't hurt!
