Wanted: A practical can for residential trash collection. Lighter than metal. Big wheels for ease of motion. A raccoon-proof top!! Simple snap-on plastic lid won't defeat them, nor will snap-up U-shape handles (and if you bungee those together, the opposite sides bulge and give a way in.

We always used a metal trash can with a snap on lid when we had a problem.

occasionally you have to bungee them, if you have a larger rodent, but they'll stand up to bungee-ing
