i have a Ram 2500 4x4 which sits high. I go camping and like to take a generator. It is too heavy to lift that high. The generator is about 125lbs I do not want to drill holes in the truck any other suggestions

Do you have a trailer hitch receiver? If so, look for hitch-mounted cranes, such as:  http://www.vestilmfg.com/products/gantry/WTJ-HITCH.htm

Drop the bed door, build a cheap 2×4 ramp with some 3/4” plywood, and get a hand truck to wheel it up.  At 125lbs, it’ll probably best serve you right from the truck bed on your trip.

jimr@ I want to ask what you did for your truck? I want to do same. If you get time please share your personal experience about this lifting issue.

I think you can use this type portable generator https://totalguide.org/best-portable-generator/
