What is the best ice maker.

My father in-law is an avid Coke drinker. He uses regular half moon shaped ice from the fridge, but he always complains about it. He often says he is going to get an ice maker like they have at hotels because he likes the square shaped ice. I know he is never going to get one of those as it would be total over kill for 1 or 2 people. I have been looking for a good ice maker that makes similar shaped ice, or really any other kind of ice. I'm looking for a good, dependable ice maker.

  • I forgot to mention how lazy he is. He will never use an ice tray if you have to refill it :/

Your FIL needs a couple of ice trays which make small cubes. You can buy them on Amazon for maybe $5 each. When you want ice for a drink, you pull the ice tray out of the freezer, let it sit for a minute on the counter for the little cubes to loosen, then you twist the tray over a bowl or other ice container. Done. Total cost $10. Very simple and convenient.
