Graphik Line Maker Drawing Pens
A pen that behaves like a graphic pencil
I am a doodler and a note taker. A habit I have been unable to shake after spending a good amount of my life in lectures of various sorts. My main medium is a plain Moleskin journal. It is hard to destroy.
I have always liked fine line pens. For years, I fiddled around with Rapidographs and their like. Fiddled is the correct word because they are finicky, especially as they age. There is a drawer in my closet reserved for the remnants that I never quite get around to fixing. So, when I saw the Graphik Line Maker by Drewent I bought one.
Over several months now it has worked well and for the lack of a better word, it is fun. I have the sepia 0.1. Its color reminds me of walnut ink. It has a Japanese nib and the pen is made in China.
It says on the pen that is uses “Lightfast Pigment Ink.” It also says, “Replace Cap”. This is good advice because the tip dries out if the cap is left off too long and it takes a bit of rubbing to get the ink to run again.
Derwent has an inspirational website with many different types of pens. There are many choices out there when it comes to fine line pens. Overall, this one is just different enough to make it special.
