Krylon Fusion for Plastic Spraypaint
Paint that sticks to plastic
I recently bought Krylon Fusion to apply to an old, broken-down plastic playhouse that I am renovating for my children. I was a bit skeptical, especially after a few people told me that spray paint doesn’t typically work well for hard plastic.
The paint is holding up really well. I painted over the red door and fireplace to the playhouse with Krylon Fusion’s burgundy and used glossy black for the roof. I applied ivory to the walls. I really happy with the results, even after four weeks of hot sun and the occasional thunderstorm.
Just a note: I should have worn gloves before I began painting, (which an intelligent person would have done). My hands and nails were covered in paint even though I was spraying carefully. I was able to scrub it off pretty quickly with some brush cleaner, so clean-up wasn’t too bad.
After I’m finished the playhouse, I’m going to try Krylon Fusion on a few dingy lawn chairs sitting around in my basement. There’s quite a few colors to choose from, and the paint is easy to use, so I think I can make the chairs look cute enough to sit out on my front porch again.
