The best thing to do when this happens is immediately take the battery out of your phone and put it in a bag of rice and wait a few days to see if it will be able to dry out enough to function again.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I dropped my iPhone in a swimming pool and found out the hard way you need a special tool called a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/B007WEVUGA\/?tag=cooltools-20\">Pentalobe screwdriver<\/a> to remove the battery cover, since I didn\u2019t have one the current and water mixed causing the circuit board to start corroding.<\/p>\n<p>But you still have hope. With a little patience and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UqyLiNObPM8\">this video<\/a> you will be able to take your iPhone apart and scrub the board with a toothbrush and some isopropyl alcohol (90% or better) to remove the corrosion.
