I don&#8217;t know if the Sistema 656 ml Soup Mug counts as a tool, but it certainly accomplishes both. It has a snap-on top with a small vent hole that can be opened and closed. You open it while in the microwave to allow steam to escape but the soup doesn&#8217;t splurt out. You can then close it to keep the soup warm longer and so you don&#8217;t spill it while carrying it.
