This Chrome Kadet Sling Bag ($80) is deceptively large at 9 litres, meaning there’s room for everything I need for a day out. It’s tough, waterproof and looks good, too.

What’s inside the bag
Billykirk No. 092 Card Case ($75)
This Billykirk card case is one of my favourite possessions. I’ve had it for six years and the leather’s ageing beautifully. It has space for 10 cards and a bit of cash, which is plenty for me — and with this level of craftsmanship, it’s the last wallet I’ll ever need to buy.

Sony H900N Hi-Res Noise Cancelling Headphone ($230)
These noise-cancelling headphones from Sony are great. There are newer models available now, with better sound quality, but I love the weight and feel of these. They’re super sturdy and chunky, and the audio’s still totally excellent. Unlike some headphones, the Bluetooth pairing’s faultless.

Limited Edition Field Notes ($110 Year-Long Subscription)
I’ve had a Field Notes subscription for five years or so and I love the fact that beautiful notebooks drop through my letterbox four times a year. The amount of love, care and devotion that goes into each new limited edition notebook run is totally inspiring. It also means I’ve always got a fresh notebook on hand for a new project.

Paperback book
I try to always carry a book so that I can spend any downtime reading, rather than scrolling Instagram. I’m currently working through this stunning collection of short stories by Ken Liu. It tackles big themes like love and why on earth we’re here, and has been a real comfort in these strange coronavirus times.

[2303
1553
