This pack isn\u2019t too large and doesn\u2019t have too many compartments\u2026just right. I love the colors and designs of these bags, but the biggy is the comfort and size!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s inside the bag<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Journal\/Notebook:<\/strong>\u00a0I use the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/8883701151\/whatsinmybag-20\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Moleskine Sketchbook in the 5 x 8.25 inches size<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0most often. It has to be the Sketchbook to get a heavier paper for drawing and using watercolor in limited ways (not too wet). The other version in the photo is the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/8883701054\/whatsinmybag-20\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>pocket sketchbook (3.5 x 5.5 inches)<\/strong><\/a>. Both open flat so you can work across two pages.\u00a0I often order red making it easier to find!\u00a0 It can also be personalized with your name. I\u2019ve been using these for years and find they work well with ink, watercolor, and colored pencils.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palette:<\/strong>\u00a0This is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/art-toolkit.com\/products\/palettes\/?utm_campaign=What%27s%20in%20my%20bag%3F&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Pocket Palette<\/strong><\/a>, the size of a business card holder. I love that it is very tiny and portable, but has enough colors and paints for a journey.\u00a0Just put it in a zip lock bag and it will fit anywhere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pen:<\/strong>\u00a0This is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jetpens.com\/Platinum-Carbon-Desk-Fountain-Pen-Extra-Fine-Nib\/pd\/3851?utm_campaign=What%27s%20in%20my%20bag%3F&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Platinum Carbon Ink Pen<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with a fine or extra fine nib.\u00a0Unfortunately I was unable to find a source for these right now.\u00a0They were previously available on Amazon and Jetpens.com. I hope these will be restocked soon.\u00a0The nib is smooth and writes\/draws every time I pick it up.\u00a0The ink is waterproof so I can watercolor right on top of it when it dries.\u00a0Here is a pen very similar to the one above that is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/B00V472ORU\/whatsinmybag-20\" target=\"_blank\">available on Amazon now<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My substitute pen would be a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gouletpens.com\/products\/lamy-joy-calligraphy-fountain-pen-white-special-edition?gclid=CjwKCAjw26H3BRB2EiwAy32zhfAexV4q_ofG0IyyBp9ULL7KfR6YYY21SzYtGTbUqoBObM_G5MO_YxoC1TIQAvD_BwE&amp;utm_campaign=What%27s%20in%20my%20bag%3F&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Lamy Joy with Platinum Carbon Ink<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>or just\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gouletpens.com\/?utm_campaign=What%27s%20in%20my%20bag%3F&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">Gouletpens.com<\/a>.\u00a0I have several different nibs for the Lamy Joy, but I like to draw with the extra fine nib.\u00a0The stub nibs are wonderful for Calligraphy of which I am a huge fan.\u00a0I was lucky enough to take a calligraphy course in college all the way back in 1968.\u00a0It changed my handwriting for the rest of my life!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brush:<\/strong>\u00a0A water brush is an easy way to paint with watercolor while travelling.
