There are good informative articles on the site as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>The Return of White Lotus<\/strong><br>It often made you cringe, but the HBO limited series\u00a0<em>White Lotus<\/em>\u00a0won five Emmy Awards and was a brilliant commentary on social classes, race, freelance work, and the hospitality industry\u2013among other things. It all took place through the lens of one week at a luxury resort in Hawaii. Round 2 just debuted this week and could be worth getting an\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hbomax.com\/?utm_campaign=Nomadico&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">HBO Max<\/a>\u00a0account for. Check the local plans if you\u2019re living abroad: I pay less than $4 a month for the Mexico version and when I logged in from Panama while writing up this newsletter it was $3 per month there.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Portable Bluetooth Speaker With Bass<br><\/strong>If you\u2019ve got room in a checked bag, a portable Bluetooth speaker can be a nice enhancement to have along. Even the smallest ones sound dramatically better than a tiny phone speaker but step up to fist-sized and you\u2019ll get some real bass. There are seemingly a million knock-off brands on Amazon but I\u2019ve been quite happy with the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/geni.us\/UART4?utm_campaign=Nomadico&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">$50 JBL Go 3<\/a>\u00a0one that\u2019s USB-C rechargeable and waterproof.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Remote Work and More Babies<\/strong><br>Recent\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/freakonomics.com\/podcast\/the-unintended-consequences-of-working-from-home\/?utm_campaign=Nomadico&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">episode 520<\/a>\u00a0of the popular\u00a0<em>Freakonomics<\/em>\u00a0show\/podcast is titled \u201cThe Unintended Consequences of Working From Home.\u201d Economist Nicholas Bloom notes that transitioning to remote work, \u201chas now gone up threefold in the space of two years.\u201d Compared to the former rate, \u201cThat\u2019s almost 50 years of change compressed into two years.\u201d\u00a0In related news, the U.S.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2022\/10\/19\/remote-work-baby-boom-america?utm_campaign=Nomadico&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">birth rate went up<\/a>\u00a0for the first time during a recession.
