Zelda: Breath of the Wild
My wife bought me a Nintendo Switch portable game player for Valentine’s Day and, on my 14-year-old daughter’s advice, the first game I bought for it was Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Much has been written about the beautiful world and fluidity of motion of the game, and once I started playing it I realized why long time gamers are saying it’s freaking amazing. It really feels like there’s a planet in there, with weather, varied terrain, plants, animals, and people. I transport myself into the world of Zelda every spare moment I have. I can’t wait for my 18 hour flight to Singapore later this month! — MF

Photography lessons
I’ve done a lot of photography but I am still learning. A favorite teacher is Peter McKinnon’s YouTube channel. He is the usual hyper active YouTuber (thus his millions of followers) but he does convey very useful info by showing how he works. For instance his lesson on product photography was neat and satisfying. — KK

View images without visiting sites
I’ve been using this chrome extension to restore Google’s “view image” function that was removed last month. It’s called Bring Google View Image Back and it works. — CD

Article saver
Whenever I come across an article online that I want to read later, I click the Pocket icon on my browser toolbar. It adds the article to a list so I can read it later on my phone when I have time. Pocket also stores the articles offline and presents them in in a stripped-down, easy-to-read format. I use the free version, but there’s a pro version with additional features for $5 per month. — MF

Best non-antiperspirant deodorant
My friends have been bugging me over the last few years to drop my antiperspirant deodorant, but it’s been hard for me to find a deodorant that smells good and makes me feel “protected.“ My husband had me try his Old Spice which I actually like wearing, except the smell is too masculine. Then I found Old Spice Bearglove which smells great, like apple and citrus, and I’m never self-conscious when I wear it — it’s a winner. — CD

Two sims
I’m still waiting for the ideal phone carrier who will let me use my phone anywhere in the world without thinking. True global coverage at reasonable rates. In the meantime I buy sim cards when I am outside of North America; they are cheap and useful. Downside is my phone has a new number. My solution: I put the foreign sim in a second phone, an older phone I no longer use. (We all seem to have one of those; if you don’t a friend will.) That way, my primary phone number still works on wifi in hotels and cafes, but I get full roaming capabilities — such as Google maps, or web searches, texting locally — on the other phone as I need them. — KK
